As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17
1. Is your identity as a Christian based on your commitment to attending a church (building) or traditions that were passed down in your family?
2. Does the idea of spending the majority of your time meditating on the Word of God and praying seem burdensome and inconvenient?
3. Have you suffered the loss of close relationships or been unjustly persecuted or alienated because of your faith and commitment to God?
4. Do you still have close relationships with people who refuse to believe in Christ and are not open to hearing about God’s grace and mercy?
5. Are their places that you frequent (like work or school) or times in your life that you do not disclose the fact that you are a Christian because you know that it might cause animosity or create an uncomfortable situation?
6. Are there practices or philosophies in your place of worship that you feel are not in line with the Word of God?
7. Do you tend to seek God more when trouble and hard times come into your life?
8. Do you believe that everyone is a child of God, and all we need to do for salvation is be law abiding citizens and go to church (building) regularly? 9. Do you believe it is possible to know and love God without obeying His Word?
10. Is there anything or anyone in your life that you would lose or sacrifice in exchange for salvation?
For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 1 Peter 4:17
Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the LORD. Lamentations 3:40
